I have tried a few times to get it installed on suse 10.1 64 bit and have failed. Is this compatable with that version? If so is the install diffirent from 32 bit?

I don't think there's a 64bit howto as yet but I could be wrong.

Yes, it think is compatible. Maybe you will have to select a 64Bit repository for software installation.
