Hello all,

Based on the Unbuntu 6 Perfect setup and building upon it: http://www.howtoforge.com/perfect_setup_ubuntu_6.06

Is there a howto on how to configure the server to allow it to automatically securely POP and download new messages from my gmail account and allow other computers on my network retrieve the messages from this server via imap?

Thanks all in advance for the support and the great howtos.

Carlos.

Have a look here: http://www.howtoforge.com/forums/showthread.php?t=5796&highlight=fetchmail

I figured out how to do it using this as a guide:

http://souptonuts.sourceforge.net/postfix_tutorial.html

However, it is not entirely designed for Ubuntu since it is originally written for Red Hat Linux. The fetchmail portion did work though. I could not get the rest of it to work though. But, that is for another time. Right now fetchmail is popping my gmail account securely and dropping my mail into Maildirs allowing my other computers on my network pull it down and sync it up via IMAP.

Thanks

Carlos.
