View Full Version : Problem sending mail from email client Server error: '554 5.7.1 Relay access denied'

Hi all this is my first post here
i am trying to get a issue fixed in my ispconfig that i have had for a while and it doesnt matter what i do i cant seem to get it to work, when i sent email from outlook or my phone or tablet i am getting a error
"Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients.
Subject:
Sent: 29/01/2012 8:46 PM
The following recipient(s) cannot be reached:
adamrwolarczuk@gmail.com on 29/01/2012 8:46 PM
Server error: '554 5.7.1 <adamrwolarczuk@gmail.com>: Relay access denied'

But if i do it in the webmail interface it is working no issues, could someone please tell me how i fix thisas i am getting more and more clients i need thi to work

Did you enable "Server requires authentication" in your email client?

Are there any errors in your mail log (in the /var/log/ directory)?

Hi Falko,
I have the same problem, if i enable "Server requires authentication" in your email client? i get prompted to write password and then i get error, i can login to webmail whit same password ant it works fine, i can send mail also.
Got latest stable ispc.

I did som aptitude upgrade eaarlier today and it update ssl and libssl.
and after that it failed
running Debian Squeeze 6

Well i restore yesterdays snapshot and its working fine again.
DONīT UPDATE DEBIAN TODAY, SOME SSL LIBSSL PACKAGE I BAD for Debian 6 squeeze installation.

I've got the same issue, but no snapshot to revert back to. Any other solutions?

Nvrmind, restarted saslauthd and all good.

servers with dovecot sasl seems to be ok, instead the only one with courier has needed a saslauthd restart
as far as I have seen
EDIT: in dovecot servers there is not saslauthd, atr all, and after reboot still login failed
