sumhap postfix/qmgr[12933]: fatal: unsupported dictionary type: mysqlI guess you updated Postfix? By default, Postfix on CentOS 5.x has no MySQL support, so you'd have to install a Postfix with MySQL support again, and then make sure it doesn't get updated anymore.

Please try to update ISPConfig as follows:

cd /tmp
wget http://www.ispconfig.org/downloads/ISPConfig-3-stable.tar.gz
tar xvfz ISPConfig-3-stable.tar.gz
cd ispconfig3_install/install

SO I STARTED HERE:
http://www.howtoforge.com/perfect-server-centos-5.3-x86_64-ispconfig-3-p4
I DID A RPM -E POSTFIX THEN DID THE ABOVE
WHEN ASKED FOR CN =
I USED mail.sumphap.com
mailog says
You did this over an existing ISPConfig installation? That's not good!

Try to update ISPConfig:
cd /tmp
wget http://www.ispconfig.org/downloads/ISPConfig-3-stable.tar.gz
tar xvfz ISPConfig-3-stable.tar.gz
cd ispconfig3_install/install
php -q update.php

Dovecot is an IMAP/POP3 server - you either need Courier or Dovecot.

okay,

The link you followed is for a different setup (virtual users with postfix without ispconfig), so its not for ispconfig 3.

my mail_acess table is empty how do i add data to it with ispconfig

This table is for relay users only, so it should be empty on most systems. It may not contain any maolbox users or domains. Only if you use your mailsystem as relay server e.g. in front of a outlook system without local mailboxes on the ispconfig server then you might have records there.

okay,
so i never got dovecot working so i switched to courier by following this

http://www.howtoforge.com/forums/arc...p/t-53026.html

the log looks good til i try to log in. i am going to recreate my mail accounts and see if that helps
sethos

Have you run the ispconfig after you removed dovecot and choose to reconfigure services? Dovecot has to be completely removed so that no dovceot binaries are on the disk anymore, just disabling it is not enough. Aftewards you have to run a ispconfig update and choose to reconfigure services or the setup will fail.

sethos
12th March 2012, 19:22
so i manually removed dovecot w/

find / -name dovecot* -print
and then rm -rf the results of the find
then i did php -q update.php
and redid the services
now there is no dovecot
cd /etc/postfix/
[root@sumhap postfix]# grep dovecot main.cf
# dovecot_destination_recipient_limit = 1
[root@sumhap postfix]# grep dovecot master.cf
[root@sumhap postfix]#

but login still fails when i try and check mail
