Hi,
I want to have my own customized bootable debian kernel :p !

I have kernel-image-2.6.8-2-386_2.6.8-16sarge1_i386.deb debian kernel image. Along with this minimal debian installation , I want the GNOME Desktop Environment and a mozilla browser.
I have read a lot about the debian kernel-pakage , but can somebody tell how can I make a independant bootable .deb package out of this  .................
Or wht steps do I need to take  ????

Waiting 4 reply :) .............

Thanx in advance,
Manisha.

For which purpose do you want to have a .deb of a kernel?
Why don't you completely compile it your own?
For doing that you could look e.g. here: http://www.howtoforge.com/forums/showthread.php?t=21
