hi guys,

using ispconfig for a while now together with the perfect install for debian.
as I have some strange problems accessing some pages of my site I tried having a look at my logfiles:

h5810:/var/log/apache2# tail -f access.log

but the last entry here is from yesterday... shouldn't I be able to see the log entries in realtime using this command? Or are the logs stored somewhere else??? seems very strange to me..

some log files are here
tail -F /home/www/webX/log/web.log

where the X in webX is a number...

yes but the logs should be there only after the nightly processing, I am talking about the "live logs"

It depends on your distribution. You can check out /var/log/apache2.

:) using Debian 3.1 but in my first post I said I checked: h5810:/var/log/apache2# tail -f access.log

and there were no hits from that day, which struck me as very strange as I was used to see the newest changes there instantly, every time I accessed my sites..

Then check /var/log/httpd.
