Is it possible to have email users in a database instead of /etc/passwd
ie in a database, so we DONT have to have web(x)_username ..etc

I'd like to be able to creae all user accounts (email addys) in a database and
subsequently offer email users a small home page (bit like an isp, I suppose)

Is it possible for ispconfig to automatically create such email accounts?
How?
Is there an example of this anywhere?

Clarification: I DONT want to give email users system accounts, but I DO want to offer free email/webmail accounts and small personal web space. Web space uploads will be via web tools not system accounts.

Don't give the users shell access in ISPConfig, then they can't log in on the shell.
