DNS and Nameserver on Godaddy

Hi,

I am trying to setup a DNS and nameserver for hosting multiple websites.

I found the post regarding set it up via Godaddy at http://www.howtoforge.com/ispconfig_dns_godaddy

I followed its instructions and got to the point where we have to register the ns1.mydomain.info as nameservers. However I keep getting the following error message;

+ Unknown error in field HostName1

and the ns1 I have entered has been highlighted.

Just wondering how do I solve this problem in order to get the nameserver working for web hosting.

Did you create an A record for ns1? How long did you wait?

Thanks falko for your reply. I have solved the problem, needed to wait 24 hours before I can register the name server. Thank you.

Hi, get the same error.
i already created the A record, and waited more the 24 hours.
When i try to dig the ns1.domain.com i got all the record information with the right ip and stuff...

Any guess?

Does the domain need to be unlocked?

You might have to wait a little bit longer. It can take up to 72 hours until DNS changes propagate.
