Ubuntu 8.04 (64b) & PCI-e gigabit adapter

Hello,

My Broadcom BCM5782 PCI-e gigabit ethernet adapter is not being recognised on boot (Ubuntu 8.04 Server 64 Bit), and after quickly showing lines of text, drops to inintramfs.

The same card was working fine with 32 bit OS of the same.

Please help me in the matter, or suggest another compatible adapter.
