ISPConfig 2 and 3 are completely different software packages. So ISPConfig 3 is not a update for ispconfig 2.
1) Are the dns records still in the recycle bon?
2) have you tried to restart the ispconfig daemon?

micari asked aslo "(2) I need to update clamAv but not sure which version to use or an easy way the achieve this."
I see a warning that clamav versions "older than 0.96.4 are affected by a bug in the logical signature parser, which can make them load and mishandle signatures designed for newer engines. As a result, these versions may generate incorrect detections, leading to false positive alerts."
Since ClamAV simply deletes infected emails, false positives are a concern. May I ask if there an easy way to update clamAV or is an update near?
Thanks,
RDB

I'd like to see how to empty that pesly recycle bin as well. I have one DNS record that refuses to go away when I empty the recycle bin. Fortunately this server is only for myself and a few friendly clients. My production servers I manage using command line and Webmin. I have been considering migrating those boxes to ISPConfig as well but there seem to be a few issues with ISPC2 that make it uncomfortable for me to consider that further at this point.

Please check the /home/admispconfig/ispconfig/ispconfig.log file for errors and restart the ispconfig daemon on the shell.

You should consider to use ispconfig 3 instead of ispconfig 2. ISPConfig 3 has been completely written from scartch in the last 5 years to avoid problems that might occur in ispconfig 2. ISPConfig 2 is only supported with bugfixes.
