I'm currently using VHCS, i think you have to modify the dns (bind9) yourself which i havent done because i'm not hosting anyone right now.

If i uninstall vhcs and remove any virtual hosts in the apache httpd.conf file can i install ispconfig straight?

When i eventually do that and start installation i'm behind a adsl router so do i put the servers static local ip address (192.168.x.x)?

Once i get a customer for example and register their site on ispconfig does it make the dns entries itself. So once they get the nameservers their site should work after propagation?

Thanks and awaiting a reply.

If I remember correctly VHCS uses an other type of email configuration. Better you reconfigure your server as described in the Perfect setup howtos.

Yes.

Yes and no. Generally, ISPConfig can make the DNS entries automatically. But as you are in a NAT enviroment, you will have to change the IP addresses in the DNS records in the ISPConfig DNS-Manager from your private IP to your external IP.
