hi friends,
I just try to manage my ispconfig server, during some settings I restarted the ispconfig_server and after that we experience an strange issue:
Sometimes ,just within some intervals the network connection on my Linux machine goes down and does not respond to ping attepmts. This phenomenon continues till I issue a ping command on Linux server like the following :
*******************
PING google.com (216.239.37.99) 56(84) bytes of data.
64 bytes from 216.239.37.99: icmp_seq=0 ttl=241 time=262 ms
64 bytes from 216.239.37.99: icmp_seq=1 ttl=241 time=314 ms
--- google.com ping statistics ---
3 packets transmitted, 2 received, 33% packet loss, time 1999ms
rtt min/avg/max/mdev = 262.489/288.427/314.366/25.944 ms, pipe 2
********************
But as you may see 1 out of 3 pings timed out and exactly after the second one the problem disappears and pinging would become successful ,from console and other machines to this NIC.
In addition I am sure that this problem does not stem from net connectivity because of experiencing no problem with other online devices.
Thank you for any comment.
