If I have say, web2=wwwdotsomesitedotcom and I let that site go one day, can I replace it in ispconfig with the name of my new domain.
i.e. web2=name, just i just delete the name and add a new name and save.
Will that work or is there more i need to do. I just don't want to have an unorganized system.
Thanks!
If you dont need a website anymore, then delete it. If you want to rename a website because you want to use the same content for a new website, then change the domain name instead of deleting it.

My example is this: I have domain abc[.]com and it was web2 in ispconfig. Now I want web2 to be cba[.]com. All new content within but I don't want to just lte web2 go away. I want cba[.]com to use web2. Can this be accomplished by simply renaming abc to cba?
thanks
Yes you can rename it, afterwards, replace the content manually for your web.
