Hello,
I just bought a new VPS and had a debian system running on it..
I am completely new to the linux and want to run my websites on this server..
Now my hosting provider dont give me the nameserver which i can use to point my site, they said i have to create my own in the VPS box.
Now can someone please tell me how can i create the nameserver (ns1.mydomain.com) and point my sites to them?
what i have done here is , edit the /etc/resolv.conf file and add this line
nameserver xx.xx.xx.xx
but it didnt work..
Thank you very much
