IP Address Issues

My IP address was reported for spam and I'm trying to figure out why and get it removed from the list. In the meantime, I was hoping to add another IP address in ISPConfig and change everything to the other IP address. Would this cause any problems?

New question: how do you add an IP address in general? I added it to the IP List, but I still can't ping it. Do I have to add it somewhere else as well?
