I have to work with an ISPConfig installation on a production server, which has various parts missing or not configured. The previous admin left, so I have to figure out everything for myself.

I have some questions about configuring the parts that were left out:

- How do i tell ISPConfig which mysql user to use for creating databases? (And even, which server it should connect to)
- How do I tell the system which database MyDNS uses?

I would've thought there is a config-file somewhere, and I tried the one in /usr/local/ispconfig/interface/lib but that file doesn't look like it contains all the things I want to configure (more than these two questions, but these two are most important for now).

I hope somebody can help me.

To reconfigure your system, download the latest ispconfig 3 release and run the update.php script. The script will ask you if you want to reconfigure the system and you should select 'y' to recreate the missing config files.

- How do I tell the system which database MyDNS uses?

The mydns database is the ispconfig database. The above step of reconfiguring services will create the nescessary configuration for mydns too.
