Hello

I am running debian stable on my servers at home and I have them configured to the way I want them following your HowTo's which are excellent but I am trying to configure IPtables as my firewall.....

My system is a Speedtouch USB modem which works fine on ppp0 and my internal interface in eth0, what I am trting to do is have a firewall to protect my system and the allow some traffic through like I run a web server and I am going to run a email server in the future.

I have read loads on IPtables but just can seem to make it work can anyone please help.

Thank you in advanced

If you want to install ISPConfig on your system, you can use the ISPConfig firewall to do this. Otherwise, have a look here: http://www.howtoforge.com/linux_iptables_sarge
Also have a look at the shorewall firewall.
