Hi

I am very new to Linux. I have 2 Dell servers with 2 HDD and I installed Fedora 5. Every thing went smooth with installation but I don’t know how to configure RAID 1. Can some one help me with it?

Thanks in advance
MP

Have a look here: http://www.howtoforge.com/linux_software_raid
Although it's for Debian and Ubuntu, most of it should also work for FC.

If you understand German, then this might help you: http://debiandox.barties.de/howtos/1136754418/schritt1.htm

Not sure what Dell server you are using, but my Dell server PowerEdge 1425 got an onboard RAID that will not work with any Linux OS!

It's got something todo with it not really beeing a hardware RAID.
(You can still setup a 'software' RAID if you want)

I've put a 3ware hardware RAID card in my server, and I'm loving it now :-)
