I am putting together a centos 5.3 server. It will be mainly responsible for local filesharing, webhosting, ftp and room to expand more services in the future.

The hardware config that I have mind is
ASUS P5P43TD PRO with Core 2 Duo E6400 (2.13GHz,1066FSB,L2:2MB,rev.B2)
4gb ram
2 x Seagate Barracuda 1,500 GB 7200RPM 32MB SATA 3Gbs
Most likely software raid 1 will be used.

From my research the hardware shouldn't have problems running on centos 5.3, but I am wondering if anybody here has already ran a similar setup on centos and what the results were? Any recommendations on i386 or i686, mostly from compatibility point of view?
Any observations or suggestions very welcome, thank you guys!

In our company we only use i686 machines and OSes.
otherwise your choices are fine.
