Systemimager issue

Hi, I am using systemimager to backup my server to a imaging machine, both running Debian Sarge. My challenge is this; I want to put the backed up image of an 80gb mirror raid array (which is only currently 900mb used) to a smaller hard drive, not in a raid array. is this possible, what config files will I need to edit in any case. That will be difficult. Is it software or hardware RAID?
What's the device name of your hard disk in the new system? /dev/hda or /dev/sda?
