PhP problem

i have register globals set to On in php.ini, yet info.php says its off, and no php will work, any ideas?

Where did you place info.php (directory)?
Did you edit the correct php.ini (the one phpinfo() shows)?

ok, sorry, php does work, but most things php will not work, where is the exact location of the php.ini that i need to change?
