working with my server's filesystem

I'm a newbie to Linux, and just got done installing the Perfect Server with Ubuntu 9.04 ISPConf 3 on it. My question is that how can I view/edit my server file system from my workstation. Thanks for your help!

I think most tutorials include the installation of an SSH server so you can use an SSH client like Putty. Simply type in the ip and your connected.
