Hi, I'm working on a project where we want to use 2 IBM x225 series Servers to host 3 virtual machine each with VMware Server

the virtual machine will be Linux, Windows 2003 Server and Novell Netware 6.5

the plan is to use Fedora Core 4 as the Host OS and do load balancing between both servers for the services to provide. we could use Windows 2003 server as host but we'd prefer to use Linux as host because it is more stable :D

I did some research on linux load balancing and they mostly require another box with Linux Director on it

is it the only way to do load balancing with linux?

You don't need two load balancers. You can do it with one, but then the load balancer becomes a single point of failure.
