Hello there,

I have been having quite a few problems with ISPConfig managing DNS zones. It doesn't seem to be very effective at updating the zone files and such.

For one of my clients I have tried to completely remove a codomain (empty the trash and everything) and re-create the codomain for them, but no matter what I do, it says that I already have that domain in use. I went though everything, including the zone file in /var/lib/named (I am on OpenSuSE 10.0 BTW), and its nowhere to be found... but ISPConfig still insists on its presence.

Is there a way to completely clear any temp files and such used by ISPConfig?

Are you talking about Co-Domains or about DNS records?
Can you explain what exactly you did?

It is a codomain.

I also noticed that ISPConfig never seems to truely empty the recycle bin either. Even after restarting the server it gives me:

Note: Items remaining in recycle bin after emptying are currently in update state. Please try to delete them later.

I notice that even after all of this, the contents of the recycle bin always reappear.

Please try to delet the recycle bin when you are logged in as admin user.
