Hello group...

Brief Server Info;
SERVER #1: UBUNTU 6.06, ISPConfig 2, SMTP-AUTH, PostFix
SERVER #2: UBUNTU 7.10. ISPConfig 2, SMTP-AUTH, PostFix

I am looking to provide hardening for Apache2 mainly on the above 2 servers...

I am looking at following the two Tutorials from HTF:
1) Secure Your Apache With mod_security
[http://www.howtoforge.com/apache_mod_security]

2) How To Block Spammers/Hackers With Apache2's mod_spamhaus (Debian Etch)
[http://www.howtoforge.com/how-to-block-spammers-with-apache2-mod_spamhaus-debian-etch]

Prior to beginning I just wanted to be sure that the Tutorials would apply properly to both servers mentioned above?

If you have any suggestions to further protecting Apache2 also I would appreciate the advice greatly!

Thanking you in advance for your help and time

Best Regards

Just a quick note: you should test mod_security thoroughly with your web applications - it could cause some issues.
