The Perfect Server - CentOS 5.2: What are the prerequisites?

I am working through this tutorial, but I am using a server that is out in a data center. So, I am not running the install using CDs or DVD. As a result, I'm not sure what various packages, etc. I should install so as to have the appropriate prerequisites (just what I need; nothing that's not needed). What should be done is hidden behind the menus.

I would appreciate any guidance on how to get this preliminaries right.

Just leave out the first two pages of the tutorial and continue with page three. That should install the prerequisites as well.
