AVG and ubuntu

I installed the AVG. It says it installed clean, however there is nothing on my desktop, under system, or under accessiories. How does one use it after it is installed?

BTW, I am running xubuntu 8.10.

I guess Xubuntu is not supported, so you must create a launcher yourself.

You are right and that is what I just did.

i created a launcher for the desktop, issuing a commad to start the AVGGUI.

Works.
