:confused:Hi there.

With ISPConfig 3 RTM coming very soon, does it mean 2.x will stop being updated? What is the future of 2.x and how long will it be around as an actively updated project? Or perhaps it will reach a stage where only critical security patches are released, and no more features? If yes, when?

I am trying to decide what to use, I have been needing to convert my hosting from Hsphere to something else.

Thanks.

No. As I explained already several times here in the forum.

For years. As ISPConfig 2 and 3 are different software projects. ISPConfig 3 is not an uodate for ispconfig 2.

If you want to use virtual users for email and ftp, use ispconfig 3. If you want to use Linux system users for email and ftp, use ispconfig 2.

Thanks Till. Just a suggestion, it would be easier to find if this was a sticky. It's not an easy thing to search for.
