Hi,

Few problems with the email on ISPConfig. I have made a client and they have a website. The site works fine as does the FTP. However, when I make an email for them:
a) I cannot connect in via Roundcube Webmail.
b) Don't know what address the POP3, SMTP and IMAP servers are operating on. e.g mail.phennerweb.co.uk etc.

Can anyone give me some guidance as to what to do to get everything working?

FYI I am using Ubuntu 8.1 and have ISPConfig 2 installed.

So it's more about accessing the mailboxes?
So at first you add users within the web you created.
The user for roundcube as well as in you mail programm is the w... one. Although you may access roundcube with the emailadress if roundcube is configured appropraite to parse the postfix's virtual user table file.
The pop3/smpt server address is the same for both either the ip of your server or any dns name pointing to that server ip. the password is the one you've set for the user, and that's it.

In case logins fail, please post the output of /var/log/mail.log or the output of the roundcube logfile in case rc is configured to log the user logins.

I think I see the problem now with Roundcube at least. It seems that the user I have created, web2_jonathan, is directed to its own www space. i.e.
instead of /var/www/web2, it goes to, /var/www/web2/user/web2_jonathan/.

Is there any way I can change this so it works properly? I presume Roundcube at least will then be ok as the Maildir is in the right place?

Thats all correct. he directory of the user is /var/www/web2/user/web2_jonathan/ and thats not the web space of the user. The user webspace is /var/www/web2/user/web2_jonathan/web/

Make sure that you enabled maildir in ispconfig and then send an email to this user.

Right all seems well now with receiving email. However sending still won't work.

Ok. The email's are now sending fine, bar a problem on one account where I get an error message saying that the email has not saved. The other account however works fine.

One last question for you guys:

What are my POP and SMTP addresses?

Site = www.phennerweb.co.uk

POP3 on port 110 and SMTP on 25.

I have tried phennerweb.co.uk in Outlook but doesn't seem to work :s

Any ideas?

You can use any domaon or IP address that points to your server as smtp and pop3 / imap server address.
