I noticed that ISPconfig does not put "IN" next to my dns TXT records, but most spf setups show "IN TXT" instead of "TXT".

What does "IN" mean and should it be used.

Sorry if this has been answered, but searching for the word IN is nearly impossible. I could not find any answers on google or this forum.

Please any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

It's used in all DNS records (not only TXT), I think it means INTERNET and is kept by historical reasons
