i'm redhat user but i like to install debian so i have 4 cd for that ..now i installed but i can't get init5 level so how can i install X-window-system ?? i tried but a eeror occur ..say > couldn't find ur package ...so how can i install ..pls sent soon ... i expect ..more details also...

If you have a fast internet connection, i recommend to use only the first debian install disk and chose install from network during debia setup.

If you want to setup an desktop system and not a server, i recommend to have a look at ubuntu (gnome) or kubuntu (kde) linux. These distributions are debian based, but easier to install and better preconfigured for desktop use.
