I hsot severall domains on the server and now I noticed that for a particular domain (zice.ro) I only created 2 users, one is the admin the other one is a user. when the user sends an email I see username@mymaindomain instead of @zice.ro...
I am using squirrelmail for testing. I changed his emailaddress (sender info) to user@zice.ro inside squirrelmail but it keeps changing back...
why does it always revert back to user@web-designerz.de which is my main domain?
any clues? what more info would you need?

Does this also happen in a normal email client like Outlook or Thunderbird?

I tried quickmailer, set the sender name and address to what I wanted, used smtp auth gave the users credentials and here is the resulting mail:
Return-Path: <andrei@zice.ro>

so this seems to be a squirrelmail issue...
but with my first install it worked... I'll have to check the squirrelmail mailing list :-(
besides that I have another question: the above mail says sent to postmaster@web-designerz.de but delivered to web1_postmaster@web-designerz.de is this the usual behaviour?

Yes, that's ok. The email address is mapped to a local system user.
