Hey guys!

... I am a newbie
I install a ubuntu server 8.04 following the tutorial of Hardy H and I got a successfull message at the end of Ispconfig install.
Here are the questions:
1. Since there no GUI on the server, I am unable to get to the "Login Screen".
2. I try to login from an XP machine on the same network .... unsuccessful.
3. How can I tell that ispconfig is running?? I tried the /etc/init.d/ispconf stop/start/restart .... Nothing
Pls, someone with a clear tutoral help me.
Many thx

1) Use SSH client to login to server remotely.
2) Use any SSH windows client like: http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/putty/
3) actualy its /etc/init.d/ispconfig start/stop/restart

try to accees to webadmin of ISPConfig at: www.yourdomain.com:81

I am able to connect remotely. My problem is with the ISPConfig login screen.

Try to access the server by IP and not the domain.
