View Full Version : Ispconfig and ubunut 8.10

Hi
I installed ubuntu server 8.10 with all the software, mysql, apache, postfix, proftpd and all necessary for ispconfig.

I run ./setup script it run fine, I did the self certificate right,

Please enter your MySQL server: E.G. localhost
Please enter your MySQL user: E.G. root
Please enter your MySQL password:
Please enter a name for the ISPConfig database: ispconfigdb
Please enter the IP address of the ISPConfig web: 192.168.2.200
Please enter the host name:
Please enter the domain: 192.168.2.200
Please select the protocol (http or https (SSL encryption)) to use

at the end it show a message go to https://192.168.2.200:81, but I can't access the page, the strange thing is the start file for ispconfig do not exist I mean
/etc/init.d/ispconfig_server

and here is the last message I see:

Congratulations! Your ISPConfig system is now installed. If you had to install quota, please take the steps described in the installation manual. Otherwise your system is now available without reboot.
Please direct your browser to

http://192.168.2.200:81

and log in:
Username: admin
Password: admin

./setup2: line 1189: cd: /root/install_ispconfig/compile_aps/../..: No such file or directory

so why in ispconfig website saying that ispconfig work out of the box with ubuntu 8.10.

Please help

Please reconfigure your server exactly as described in the perfect setup guide and then reinstall ispconfig.
