Hi everyone,

I tried to read almost all related threads but i couldn't solve the problem.
First of all i'm a fairly new user of Ubuntu. The problem is that after uprading my Ubuntu 8.04 to 8.10 everything was ok apart from the fact that i was unable to use any desktop effects , native or Compiz. In 8.04 everything was ok. I must also point out that i've tried to enable "restricted" devices but there werent any to enable apart from my wi-fi adapter that it's already enabled.
For your information I have an Hp G7020 laptop with an Intel module.

Could anyone help me please?
Thank you in advance!...:)

If this is Intel X3100 Graphics driver, then the last I have heard, it is blacklisted by compiz. I tried this with the Acer Aspire with no success.
