Hi team,

SSI is not working through ISP config.Have to edit http.conf manually. Is it the way to do this ?

No, that should be done by ISPConfig. If it doesn't work, then it's likely that you have a misconfiguration somewhere.
Did you test with the test files? http://www.howtoforge.com/forums/showthread.php?t=171
