I´m following step by step Ricky´s guide "OpenLDAP + Samba Domain Controller On Ubuntu 7.10"
I´ve installed 7.10 just for be in the exact same situation that guide is.
I´m having problems in the step of:
# Enable the new LDAP Authentication Profile by executing the following command:
When I run: "auth-client-config -a -p open_ldap" I get
root@dc01-ubuntu:/etc/pam.d# auth-client-config -a -p open_ldap
** WARNING: Skipping 'open_ldap' (couldn't process)
Usage: auth-client-config -p PROFILE -a -t TYPE [-dn -f FILE]
auth-client-config -p PROFILE -a -t TYPE -r [-n -f FILE]
auth-client-config -p PROFILE -a -t TYPE -s [-f FILE]
auth-client-config: error: option -p: invalid choice: 'open_ldap' (choose from 'ldap_example', 'lac_ldap', 'kerberos_example')
I´ve tryed ldap_example instead of open_ldap, but when I reboot I loose ssh access (As I´m working virtual I just got a snapshot back and didn´t loose all previous work).
Do you know what´s happening there? Any help or suggestion??
Thanks a lot
