Hi,

I have just installed latest stable 2.x ISPConfig on SuSE 11.0. I have configured DNS on this server mydomain.com, but not installed on actual ip yet linked to mydomain.com (it is running on another IP since I cannot stop my existing mail server until another is fully working).

All services running fine, no problems other then e-mail. Firewall is down for the moment, all ports are open.

I have created a couple of e-mail accounts, and trying to connect with Apple Mail from another machine. The problem that I cannot, it keeps asking password again and again all the time, no matter with SSL on or off.

I have tried username, web2_username, username@mydomain.com, web2_username@mydomain.com, nothing helps.

As pop and smtp servers, I typed actual server's IP xx.xx.xx.xx, since DNS is not linked yet.

The only culprit I see in the logs is:

Oct 9 16:38:16 iserver pop3d: Connection, ip=[::ffff:62.85.120.21]
Oct 9 16:38:16 iserver pop3d: chdir Maildir: No such file or directory
Oct 9 16:38:21 iserver pop3d: Connection, ip=[::ffff:62.85.120.21]
Oct 9 16:38:21 iserver pop3d: chdir Maildir: No such file or directory
Oct 9 16:38:26 iserver pop3d: Connection, ip=[::ffff:62.85.120.21]
Oct 9 16:38:26 iserver pop3d: chdir Maildir: No such file or directory

However, when I did installation of ISPConfig, I did not instructed it to use maildir, and maildir option is turned off in my settings.

Thanks in advance

I did not instructed it to use maildir, and maildir option is turned off in my settings.

An thats the problem. You missed to enable maildir under management > server > settings in ISPConfig as the opensuse setup uses maildir.
