View Full Version : AMANDA on RHEL5 (or CentOS)

Yeah I know there is an amanda guide for CentOS already on this site. However, every guide I've found on the internet is explicitly for "Virtual Tape" setup. If someone could make a guide for using actual tapes, and even a tape changer device, I think that would be immensely helpful.
I've been trying to get this done for weeks and I cannot figure it out to save my life. :eek:

i think you may be a tab out of luck unless someone has got tape drive or can get there's hands on a tape drive to use
to write the howto ...

Slightly old thread, and this doesn't add to the howto's here; but, there is extensive documentation with howto's on the Zmanda wiki. The quick start is where I typically send people to get a new backup implementation set up. Start there and follow links out to get more information if/when you need to. It covers backups to tape and backups to disk.
