Hi all,

I'm trying to install debian 3.1 on a Iomega NAS 400r 1 Tb box. I just want to get rid of the windows 2003 server native installation. Can anybody help?

I now that the native windows installation supports NFS, but i would like to have a linux ditro on that beauty.

thanks a lot for any help or coment.

Do you have a link to that model so that I can see what kind of device it is?

Nice device! :) Why do you want ot get rid of Windows on that system? I think you have to fiddle quite some time with Debian to get all the features that it has now with Windows...

Yes its very nice! We got it in a very nice deal in ebay.

We wonŽt if we canŽt find a reliable way to do it. We are developing our project only in open source software and wanted to be firm on this, but I guess weŽll have to stay with this win 2003 instalation.

Thanks a lot,

If it's running stable, I wouldn't touch it. Otherwise you could install Debian on it, but I guess you'd have to set some features aside.
