Fedora 4 "X Server"

Hi..

I am having a trouble with the X server in Fedora Core 4, all this begun when i upgraded the Kernel. Fedora initiates well, but when the X server initiatites (the login window) the monitor gones all black. The only thing that appears is the mouse pointer...

Any ideas to solve this?

Can you see any error messages in the logs in /var/log?

Please run dmesg on the shell and check if there are errors.
