mandriva install squashfs error HELP!

am trying to install mandriva 2008 free from download. i get to boot screen then it says loading system(or something like that) and shows a bar graph at bottom. then it hits a spot about 7/8s of the way through and starts scrolling this line of code over and over that starts with SQUASHFS error. please help

What's the exact error message?
Might be that your hardware isn't supported by the live system. In that case you could download the full Mandriva DVD and install it on the hard drive right away (without the live system).
