Question about The perfect setup (Debian)

For the perfect setup (Debian Sarge) on page 3 (http://www.howtoforge.com/perfect_setup_debian_sarge_p3) you've explained to add some nameservers, which are needed to resolve domain names. However, you did not mention to add nameservers within the perfect setup (Debian Etch) (http://www.howtoforge.com/perfect_setup_debian_etch_p3).

I don't understand this. Is there a particular reason for this?

If you're using DHCP, then some valid nameserver should have got added to /etc/resolv.conf during the initial installation, so there's no need to modify /etc/resolv.conf.
