new install - error 'make not found'

we have been following this http://www.howtoforge.com/perfect-server-ubuntu8.04-lts-p7

with the execption of adding raid 1 to this ubuntu istallation

everything seemed to be done and reado to load the program ISPConfig .....

early on in the install (used wget from server to get file) after line /use/bin/gcc 'ok'

there is this err

########MAKE##########

ERROR: make not found!

and then the install quits...

what is this?

how do i fix this?

Please run the command from chapter 11:

apt-get install binutils cpp fetchmail flex gcc libarchive-zip-perl libc6-dev libcompress-zlib-perl libdb4.3-dev libpcre3 libpopt-dev lynx m4 make ncftp nmap openssl perl perl-modules unzip zip zlib1g-dev autoconf automake1.9 libtool bison autotools-dev g++ build-essential
