Did you that there's also an instrction available here (http://www.openemm.org/wiki/Installation:InstallGuideDebian), which explains how to setup OpenEMM on Debian 3.1 ? It is not based on the latest Debian version and probably an old MYSQL version is mentioned, but with some modifications you should be able to do the job.
