I'm unable to login to GUI as root - I have just installed CentOS 5.1 Server Setup: LAMP, Email, DNS, FTP, ISPConfig (a.k.a. The Perfect Server)

I get a login page and after entering username/password I get:

Your session only lasted less than 10 seconds. If you have not logged out yourself, this could mean that there is some installation problem or that you may be out of disk space. Try logging in with one of the failsafe sessions to see if you can fix this problem.

localuser: root being added to access control list
No profile for user 'root' found

I've tried googling this issue, couldn't find the resolution.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

What's the output of df -h? Is root listed in /etc/passwd? What's in /etc/shells?

Falko,

Thanks for your reply! I decided to reinstall CentOS 5.1 Server Setup: LAMP, Email, DNS, FTP, ISPConfig (a.k.a. The Perfect Server) and it's all good now. I must have made a mistake 1st time during setup.
