apache re-compile: how to

hi all,

for some module add porpuse I would like to re-compile my apache server (httpd-2.2.4tar.gz) on RHEL 4. but the problem is my co-worker delete the previous compile folder of httpd.. so I dont understand how can I able to re-compile the apache?? is there any way to do that.. plaesse help me out..

Chapter 5 on http://www.howtoforge.com/virtual-users-and-domains-postfix-courier-mysql-centos5.1 has an example about how to build an rpm from a src.rpm. You can do the same for Apache.
