The answer is: it depends...
It depends on if you're using static or dynamic web sites, on how many visitors these web sites have, etc....

Thanks Falko.

I´m using Joomla CMS in 230 sites hosted in this VPS with theese characteristics with almost 50 visits each daily.

How many can I host with those charcateristics?

Thanks a lot!

Joomla is rather resource-intensive (at least compared to static HTML files), but on the other hand 50 visits per day is almost nothing...
I can't tell how many web sites you can host on your system, the best would be to keep an eye on the load average. You can use munin to do so: http://www.howtoforge.com/server_monitoring_with_munin_monit_debian_etch

why go with 7.1 server if 8.04 LTS will be released in 2 days (or 3 days)?
