PureFTPD on Debian ETCH problem

Hi there you guys,

I just recently installed PureFTPd on my server running Debian etch.
I followed this tutorial. http://howtoforge.com/debian_etch_virtual_hosting_pureftpd_mysql_quota

I'm getting so quite a stupid error msg. When i try connecting to PureFTPd by Filezilla, logging in is not a problem. The problem starts when i wanna to create or upload files. I doesn't allow me.

Btw, PureFTPd created the home directory for the ftp users and set it as ftpuser:ftpgroup.


So what can be the cause for the problem?

Any errors in your logs? Did you try both active and passive transfers in your FTP client?

actually i got fed up and removed pureftpd and changed to proftpd. Now it's working fine :)
