Can anybody recommend a light weight PHP editor, or if it supports more than PHP that's find. I use Notepad ++ at work on the Windows PC, works great something relatively similar for linux would be nice!

Thanks!

KATE would be a good basic editor.

If you want something a little more HTML oriented you might try Screem, Quanta, or Bluefish.

Geany is a great editor. Best part is there is a windows port so you can use it on both systems and never get confused as to which editor you are using... :)

Quanta would be a bit more advanced than KATE.

It doesn't get much lighter than Vim. Color highlighting, bracket matching, and more configuration options than you'll know what to do with. It's all I use for programming. :D
